Girlfriends
Photo Gallery
| This
is a picture of my sisters and me in front of the Girlfriends
store in San Francisco. Growing up, the dynamics of
our relationship have changed and developed, but my
two younger sisters and I have always been very close.
When asked to describe myself or my priorities, one
of the first things I think of is, of course, my sisters.
Our lives are intertwined at many levels and there are
so many aspects of our relationship. We share intense
conversations, celebrate each others' life events, laugh
and cry together, and support and encourage one another.
We enjoy all the advantages of a great friendship and
more - we look alike, have similar mannerisms, share
each others' clothes, truly understand one another,
even mistake each other for ourselves in pictures! What
else could you ask for in a great friendship? We are
three sisters - and three girlfriends. Michelle, Nicole,
and Danielle |

My
best friend is Lisa Vassallo and we have been friends
for 16 years. She is someone I can always talk to and
knows everything about me. She has been there for me
through the best times of my life and the worst. We
have been through the loss of family members, graduation
from college and nursing school, and countless trips
and experiences. Even though she has moved to Florida,
when we get together it's like she never left. Naturally,
when I saw the article about girlfriends store a few
years ago, she was the
first person I though of. I couldn't wait to get us
girlfriends t-shirts and of course we
had to take a picture!

Dear
girlfriends,
I love your store and shop there on a regular basis.
I even got my friends addicted to your store! Sarah
and I have been best friends since high school and we
are as close as sisters. I trust her with everything.
We have great stories, memories and fun times that we
look forward to sharing with our daughters some day.
They will be the next set of girlfriends!

Dear
girlfriends,
Here is a picture of six fabulous women (all 40's plus)
sporting your baseball hats during our latest annual
reunion on Orcas Island,WA. The history we share is
vast and rich. We have known eachother for more than
30 years and have been through all of lifeschallenges
and celebrations! Through it all, we have remained first
and foremost "girlfriends." Though now geographically
scattered, we do our darndest to make an annual gathering
of minds, martinis and merrimaking. We laugh (like crazy
women), cry, and continue our bond. Parting is bittersweet
and the memories carry us until the next encounter.

A
biker, a swimmer, and a runner who decided to put their
skills to the test. We participated in our first team
triathalon in October of1998 and placed sixth! Pleased,
but determined for greater results in 1999. Life is
sometimes ironic; how paths of certain people may
cross. We enjoy one another for all of the similarities
we share, but also for the uniqueness each one of us
holds. We laugh together, learn from one another, support
individual goals, trial and tribulations, and of course,
celebrate successes! We make it a point to make time
for one another, which is sooo very important since
we are destined to celebrate life together as
girlfriends!
